One education—all possibilities
During your apprenticeship, you will gain experience in all of our professional fields. This will allow you to become familiar with the entire process, from order to finished system. You will also discover further opportunities that your professional future holds for you. Through inter-company training in the training workshops at GLW or Reifenhäuser, you will also gain insights into other companies. As a WMV trainee, you will automatically become part of our “Tafel” social project. You will help people in need in your region by supporting the Tafel in Windeck with the delivery and setup of food supplies. This will allow you to further develop your social skills and do something good for your region.
“By tailoring the training framework to each individual, we strive to provide our trainees with the best possible support throughout their training and guide them through the various areas of the company. This ensures that everyone is ideally prepared for the world of work after their training.”

What our trainees say
“I like that we are allowed to work independently from an early stage and that our trainers place their trust in us. The team spirit is great. I really like our cool break room. We were allowed to design it ourselves using pallets so that we would feel comfortable in it.”
Steven, 2nd year apprentice
industrial mechanic
Questions & Answers
How does my apprenticeship at WMV work?
Depending on the field of study, the training lasts 3 or 3.5 years. The training is dual, which means that you are employed by us and attend vocational school in Hennef, Troisdorf, and Cologne 1–2 days a week. The framework plan for your training was designed according to the IHK plan. As part of our inter-company training, you will also get to know other companies. This part of the training takes place in blocks.
How much will I earn during my apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship allowance is based on the IG Metall training tariff.
Will I be hired after completing my apprenticeship?
As a caring and responsible employer, we are particularly committed to training our own young talent. If you enjoy working for us and we feel that you would be a good fit for our team even after your training, you have a good chance of continuing your employment with WMV on a permanent basis.
