Here, we will work together to take your idea a decisive step further: the inspiring atmosphere of the Future & Knowledge Campus provides the ideal setting for you to future-proof your surface treatment processes and launch improved products.

IMPLEMENTATION

You provide us with the relevant components and the necessary chemicals for conducting the tests. You and your team can accompany the tests at the WMV -Technicum on site or virtually.

DOCUMENTATION

We will provide you with the results immediately, including the test documentation. Any modifications can be implemented right away.

TRAINING

Upon request, we can train your teams directly at the cleaning and coating facility in our WMV Technicum.

Innovative processes and equipment: developed at the WMV Technicum

Numerous developments from the WMV Technicum are already leading to more efficient and resource-saving production—and to new standards in the surface treatment of bulk goods and rack goods: Real-world testing of cleaning and coating media has enabled the processes to be tailored to specific component properties in a wide range of customer applications – and has created a basis for more efficient and reproducible processes. Together with partners, several new stations for cleaning systems have been developed at the WMV Technicum. These include the integrated blasting system with interchangeable drum. A joint project with Sinto AGTOS. Or a resource-saving drying system with heat pump technology. Developed with the help of heat pump technology from dryer manufacturer Harter. Our innovative PULZ® coating system was also developed at the WMV Technicum and is in use worldwide.

Questions & Answers

Which products can be tested at the WMV Technicum?

Any type of bulk material and rack goods can be tested in the Technicum. The spectrum ranges from steel to stainless steel, brass, copper, and plastic. Our cleaning and coating systems for bulk materials are designed for all types of goods or components, as well as for testing complex geometries. Thanks to WMV centrifuge technology, both small quantities and larger batches of up to 300 kg can be simulated in real-world conditions.

Which surface treatment processes can be improved?

The WMV pilot plant applies the complete process of surface treatment for bulk materials – from loading the drums via a dynamic transport process to unloading the goods. This allows all processes – washing, drying, blasting, lasering, post-treatment, and coating – to be tested and improved on a product-specific basis, or individually.
