On April 4. 2025: Around 200 guests from Germany and abroad will join us at the Windeck site to celebrate joint successes, technological progress – and the rebranding of WMV as an experienced technology partner for automation in surface treatment. At the heart of the celebrations are joint networking and “hands-on” innovations: one highlight is the new WMV Technical Center, which simulates insights into our latest technological developments in live operation. The focus: more digital progress, efficiency and precision.

They have all come: long-standing customers, partners and suppliers – as well as our employees, the mayor of Windeck and our Müller family. What unites us all on this day is not just a date in the calendar, but a shared journey. The atmosphere of our anniversary celebration in “Windeck Valley” is familiar and inspiring. The atmosphere is open and familiar. And the summer weather – perfect for the new beginning, which we heralded right at the start with our brand relaunch. Our new logo in conjunction with the addition “Surface・Automation” sharpens our profile for what our customers can expect from us: tailor-made solutions for networking systems. To celebrate, our guests can see for themselves what these look like in detail during a tour of our new technical center.

Celebrating what is possible together – Innovation goes WMV-Technikum
Guests are taken in groups by shuttle bus to our next-generation pilot plant. There, we demonstrate the complete surface treatment process live: from loading the drums to our innovative dynamic transport process – which can transport goods even more efficiently thanks to a practically split lid system at all stations – to unloading the goods. The technological innovations here lie in the many details that are invisible to the naked eye. These include the integration of sustainable laser cleaning for the pre-treatment of bulk goods, highly efficient blasting and drying technology and an AI-based assistant that makes it possible, among other things, to evaluate process data and support operators in handling the system. The focus: technical innovations that we have developed together with strong partners. We will be demonstrating these live on site at information stands throughout the day. Whether it’s a walk through the digital twin using virtual reality glasses, a deep dive into the topic of AI integration or a personal exchange with our system experts: the interest is huge, just like in the guided tours through our production facilities.
Celebrating what connects us – technology as an interface between man and machine
In small groups, our guests gain exciting insights behind the scenes of our fully digitalized production. The paperless processes from resource planning to visual quality control are inspiring and are unanimously commented on as “great”. “Professional”, “mega-interesting”, “appreciative” and “great” is also the unanimous response to the entire event with plenty of space and opportunity for networking and enjoyment. Festively decorated outdoor tables, food trucks and a drinks and coffee bar ensure this. And last but not least, the great WMV team.

Because it is our employees who organized and planned this day and made it a success with their full commitment. On the day after the anniversary celebration, we thank them for their strong commitment throughout the past year with a huge family party: with partners, children, grandpa, grandma and friends, we celebrate our togetherness “grandiosely” in beautiful sunshine, a small funfair, two well-known live bands from the region, a magician, food and drink. Because we know: A company like WMV with a clear course towards the future only works if the families work with it.
