Discover the WMV Conti-Cent as a stand-alone solution for minimizing oil carryover
Oil carryover typically drives up costs in industrial manufacturing and hardening processes in two ways: First, the carried-over process oil generally cannot be reused. Second, media in the subsequent process are contaminated by the carried-over oil. But how can oil carryover be sustainably reduced? Here, too, we’ve applied our expertise in centrifuge technology – and with the Conti-Cent, we’ve developed an industrial centrifuge that
- recovers process oils by type,
- minimizes oil carryover into subsequent processes,
- adapts perfectly to your production,
- can be easily integrated into any system
- and requires no additional energy in the process.

The process: Gentle and continuous during operation
The Conti-Cent industrial centrifuge enables the gentle, type-specific recovery of valuable process oils: Bulk materials, other goods, and small parts that undergo the oil-removal process are fed into the so-called inlet hopper after the pre-process. Subsequently, the downstream centrifuge is continuously loaded with material from the inlet hopper via a 180° swiveling centrifuge jacket. This process is adapted to the respective material flow: As long as the system is running, the process operates continuously. The name Conti-Cent stems from this process engineering development: it is an abbreviation for continuous oil-removal centrifuge.
The benefit: Less material and better-prepared surfaces
The actual de-oiling process takes place in the centrifuge: Unlike conventional cleaning systems, the oil is not washed off there but rather thrown off by centrifugal force and collected separately by type in a separate container. This oil can now be reused without any loss of quality: You save on material costs and valuable resources.
The de-oiled parts are returned to a container via a material-friendly chute and can generally undergo further processes immediately after de-oiling. The result of this centrifugation depends on the properties of the oil – that is, how well it can be separated by centrifugal force. To integrate the Conti-Cent into your process, we develop custom solutions that support your processes and gently feed the parts to the next process stage.

High Flexibility: Individually controllable and manufacturer-independent
Using state-of-the-art PLC control, a program can be assigned to each part or group of parts. This ensures a reliable and reproducible program sequence at all times. As a stand-alone solution, the Conti-Cent can be easily integrated into existing systems regardless of the equipment manufacturer and linked with a wide variety of process lines.

Our commitment: Sustainable manufacturing through the conservation of process media
With the Conti-Cent, we succeeded many years ago in developing a flexible solution for sustainable processes: WMV centrifuge technology helps to responsibly reduce the use of resources during oil separation. And all of this with very low energy consumption: The oil removal process is achieved primarily with the centrifugal force energy – without additional heating, without chemicals, and without an additional energy supply.
